Moving to Ireland

Ireland is known to many as the “Emmerald Isle” and it is still relatively uncrowded so you will find life in Ireland more sedate than in its neighbouring countries.

Ireland has plenty to offer for those moving to Ireland with some fantastic lakes and histortic land to visit you won’t be short of places to visit for many years.

Average earnings in Ireland are above the EU average and if you are moving your business to Ireland you will find corporation tax is  a staggeringly low 12.5%, one of the lowest in the world.

Property

The Celtic Tiger boom of recent years has been responsible for property value increasing to one of the highest in Europe. This now means that property in Ireland isn’t cheap and a recent study by the IMF (International Monertary Fund) found house prices in Ireland overvalued by around 15-20%. Some good news is that property prices have dropped from their peak by around 40%.

Employment

It’s common knowledge that jobs are more difficult to find in Ireland than 5 years ago. Ship building and the construction trade has been badly hit over the past two decades, however there are jobs available in IT as big companies like Google, Intel and Microsoft have European headquarters there.

What is included in the service when moving to Ireland?

Roy Trevor offer a full or partial packing service or should you prefer to carry out the packing yourselves we can provide you with all necessary packaging materials to do so prior to the removal date.

Roy Trevor will:

• Visit you at home to survey the items that you plan to take with you.
• Provide a free written quotation and offer guidance to help you plan your move.
• Wrap and pack your items.
• Provide full optional Insurance cover.
• Transport your goods to your new residence.
• Unload and unpack and takeaway surplus packing materials.

The following moving services are available.

Direct Load

We pack your items at your home and load them directly onto the vehicle which will transport your goods to your new home in Ireland. This service is recommended if it is important that your goods are delivered on a particular date. With a direct load service, you can specify your delivery date.

Part Load

Your personal and household effects will share a vehicle along with other clients also moving to Ireland. As we need to take into consideration all the clients whose shipments are traveling on the same vehicle this takes a little longer than a Direct Load. At the start of the move a delivery window is agreed. We will advise you of the scheduled delivery date when it is known. This is a more cost effective service than a direct load and is recommended for people with flexible delivery dates.

Storage

If you are unable to take delivery on arrival Roy Trevor can arrange for both short or long term storage of your effects until you are ready to accept delivery to your new property. We offer secure storage at our UK facilities in Warrington Cheshire.
