It is essential to use the correct packing materials as different levels of packing are required for road, air and sea freight.

Our packing teams are professionally trained in the use of all types of specialist materials for the protection of household and personal effects whilst in transit.

These cartons vary in size and their use ranges from books, bedlinen, china, pictures/mirrors etc. There are special cartons for items such as bicycles and golf clubs.
Special attention is paid to glass, china, family treasures, works of art and silverware, items of sentimental or monetary value are wrapped in tissue and packed into the relevant cartons
Larger items of value ie. Antique furniture can be overcased into a wooden crate for extra protection.
Items such as grandfather clocks, pianos and barometers require special treatment and/or dismantling.

We are aware of the many hazards and risks to which furniture and household effects are exposed during an international move. When packing, we take the measures necessary to protect all items.

Packing Materials
All packing materials are specially designed for their specific use in the international removals industry. Only quality export materials are used on an international removal.

All furniture is wrapped and protected with 6 ply protective paper blankets. Highly polished surfaces are double wrapped and carded for additional protection.

This is a wooden crate or tough wall carton specifically designed for more than one or a number of items of furniture. It may be required for individual and delicate items of furniture or fine art.

Veneered Surfaces, Linen and Cloth are susceptible to extremes of heat and cold which can cause condensation and mildew. This can be avoided by wrapping in absorbent paper and including silca del resin bags inside sealed container cases.

Items such as grand-father clocks, pianos, pedestal dining tables, wardrobes etc. require dismantling. All parts are packed together in the same case and clearly marked. Screws, bolts, keys etc. are put in a bag and attached to the main peice of furniture.

At the time of packing we will make out an inventory which will need to be signed by the packing crew and the customer. The main purpose of the inventory is to identify the different items after they have been packed or wrapped and to note the condition of the goods before transportation.
